1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Trave, the social travel mobile application that allows you to document your adventures and discover those of others.
These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) govern the use of the Trave mobile application (hereinafter “the Application”, “Trave” or “we”).
By using Trave, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. LEGAL INFORMATION

3. DEFINITIONS
- User: Any person using the Trave application
- User Content: Any content created, published or shared by the user
- Service: All features offered by the Trave application
- Account: User’s personal space on the application
4. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
4.1 Service purpose
Trave offers a social network service dedicated to travel allowing to:
- Create and share trips with detailed stages
- Document Points of Interest (POI): hotels, restaurants, activities
- Share photos, descriptions and reviews
- Automatically calculate travel costs
- Discover other users’ trips
- Search destinations and places via interactive map
4.2 Scope of application
These Terms apply to all users of the application, whether visitors or registered users.
4.3 Beta Program
Trave may be offered as a beta version or early access. By participating in a beta program:
- You acknowledge that the application is under development and may contain bugs or incomplete features
- The service is provided “as is” without warranty of availability, performance or functionality
- We may modify, suspend or remove features at any time without notice
- Your participation in the beta program does not confer any right, privilege or advantage regarding the future features of the application
- Features available in beta may not be included in the final version
5. ACCESS CONDITIONS
5.1 Minimum age
The use of Trave is reserved for people aged 13 and over. Users aged 13 to 16 must obtain authorization from their parents or legal guardians.
5.2 Legal capacity
The user declares having the necessary legal capacity to accept these terms.
5.3 Service access
Access to the service requires:
- A compatible mobile device (iOS/Android)
- Internet connection
- Creating a user account
6. ACCOUNT CREATION AND MANAGEMENT
6.1 Registration
Registration is free and can be done via:
- Apple OAuth (Sign in with Apple)
- Google OAuth (Google Sign-In)
- Email address with passwordless login link
6.2 Account information
The user undertakes to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information:
- First and last name
- Valid email address
- Date of birth
- Country of residence
6.3 Account responsibility
The user is solely responsible for:
- The confidentiality of their access
- All activities performed from their account
- Immediately reporting any unauthorized use
6.4 Suspension and deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or delete an account in case of:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or malicious activity
- Prolonged inactivity (more than 2 years)
- User request
7. SERVICE USE
7.1 Authorized use
The application must be used only for:
- Documenting and sharing authentic travel experiences
- Discovering new destinations
- Interacting respectfully with the community
- Searching for travel information
7.2 Prohibited uses
It is strictly forbidden to:
- Publish illegal, offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Harass, threaten or intimidate other users
- Use the application for unauthorized commercial purposes
- Attempt to circumvent security measures
- Extract or massively copy data
- Publish spam or repetitive content
- Share copyrighted content without authorization
7.3 Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Moderate, modify or delete any inappropriate content
- Suspend access in case of rule violations
- Use automated tools to detect violations
7.4 Zero tolerance and 24-hour moderation commitment
Trave operates a zero tolerance policy toward objectionable user-generated content (including but not limited to harassment, hate speech, sexual content, threats, incitement to violence, and illegal content) and toward abusive users.
When a user reports content or blocks another user, Trave commits to:
- Review the report within 24 hours
- Remove any confirmed objectionable content immediately
- Terminate the account of any user found responsible for objectionable content or abusive behavior
Blocked content and users disappear from your feed instantly. Reports are confidential and trigger an internal notification to our moderation team.
8. USER CONTENT
8.1 Content ownership
The user retains all intellectual property rights to the content they publish.
8.2 Usage license
By publishing content, the user grants Trave a license that is:
- Non-exclusive and revocable
- Worldwide and free
- To display, reproduce and distribute content within the service
- To create aggregated and anonymized statistics
8.3 Content responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the content they publish and guarantees:
- Holding all necessary rights
- That the content does not violate any law or third party rights
- The accuracy of shared information
8.4 Suggestions, Ideas and Feedback
By submitting suggestions, ideas, feedback, feature requests, comments or any other proposals (hereinafter collectively “Suggestions”) to Trave, by any means (form, email, social media, app store reviews, discussions, etc.), you accept and acknowledge that:
- Full assignment: All Suggestions become the exclusive property of Trave, without any restriction or obligation on our part
- No compensation: No remuneration, royalty, financial compensation or other consideration shall be due to you, whether the Suggestion is used or not
- Freedom of use: Trave is free to use, modify, adapt, develop, publish, distribute or integrate any Suggestion, in whole or in part, without your prior approval
- No confidentiality: Suggestions are not considered confidential, unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Waiver of rights: You irrevocably waive any intellectual property rights, moral rights or any other claim over submitted Suggestions
- No obligation: Trave has no obligation to review, evaluate or implement any Suggestion
- Independent development: Trave may independently develop features similar or identical to your Suggestions, without this constituting a violation of your rights
This clause survives the termination of your account and the end of your use of the service.
8.5 Reporting objectionable content
Users can report any objectionable content directly from the application using the integrated reporting tool available on every piece of user-generated content (point of interest, trip, profile, message). Reports are confidential, reviewed within 24 hours, and result in content removal and account termination when appropriate.
8.6 Blocking abusive users
Users can block any other user at any time from their profile or from any piece of content they have published. Blocking is instant: the blocked user’s content disappears from your feed immediately, and you disappear from theirs. Blocks also notify our moderation team to investigate the blocked user’s behavior. Blocks can be managed and reversed at any time from the Settings screen.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
9.1 Trave’s rights
The application, its features, design, logos and brand are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to Trave.
9.2 Authorized use
The user may use the application only within the intended personal and non-commercial use.
9.3 Restrictions
It is forbidden to:
- Copy, modify or distribute the application
- Disassemble or reverse engineer
- Use our trademarks without written authorization
10. DATA PROTECTION
10.1 Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.
10.2 Geolocation
The use of geolocation services requires explicit user consent and can be disabled at any time.
10.3 Cookies and similar technologies
The application uses cookies and similar technologies in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
11.1 Integrations
Trave uses third-party services for:
- Mapping: Mapbox, Google Places
- Authentication: Apple, Google
- Infrastructure: Supabase
11.2 External links
The application may contain links to third-party sites (Booking, TripAdvisor, etc.). These sites are governed by their own terms of use.
11.3 Limited liability
We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.
12. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
12.1 Availability
We strive to keep the application available 24/7, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
12.2 Maintenance
Temporary interruptions may occur for:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Security updates
- Technical problem resolution
12.3 Notification
Scheduled interruptions will be notified in the application when possible.
13. LIABILITY AND WARRANTIES
13.1 Limitation of liability
Within the limits authorized by law, our liability is limited regarding:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data or profits
- Business interruption
13.2 Warranty exclusions
The service is provided “as is” without explicit warranty regarding:
- The accuracy of information provided by users
- Permanent service availability
- Total absence of errors
13.3 Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control.
14. FINANCIAL ASPECTS
14.1 Current free service
The Trave application is currently free for all users.
14.2 Pricing evolution
We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with at least 30 days notice.
14.3 No payment
No payment information is currently collected or processed.
15. TERMS MODIFICATIONS
15.1 Right to modify
We may modify these Terms at any time to:
- Comply with legal developments
- Improve our services
- Clarify our conditions
15.2 Modification notification
Important modifications will be notified by:
- Notification in the application
- Email (if you have consented to receive our communications)
- Date update at the top of this document
15.3 Acceptance
Continued use of the application after modification constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
16. TERMINATION
16.1 Termination by user
The user can terminate their account at any time via application settings or by contacting us.
16.2 Termination by Trave
We may terminate an account in case of:
- Serious or repeated violation of Terms
- Fraudulent activity
- Request from competent authorities
16.3 Effects of termination
In case of termination:
- Access to the service is immediately suspended
- Data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Some data may be retained for legal obligations

18. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by French law.
18.2 Competent jurisdiction
In case of dispute, French courts will be competent, subject to the mandatory rights of consumers in their country of residence.
18.3 Language
In case of translation, the French version prevails.
19. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
19.1 Partial nullity
If a clause of these Terms is declared null, the other clauses remain in force.
19.2 Entirety
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
19.3 Waiver
Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
